Migrations: A World on the Move is a monthly podcast produced through Cornell's Migrations initiative that engages scholars, artists, and activists to highlight how multidisciplinary, multi-species perspectives on migration help us understand key global issues.

Our third episode, on global racial justice, is just out and features conversations with poet and activist Shailja Patel, author of Migritude, and with Camilla Hawthorne, Assistant Professor in Sociology and Critical Race and Ethnic studies at UCSC. We talk about migration and racial justice through the lenses of Black Italy and the Black Mediterranean, colonialism, abolition, and poetry and creative practice.

Our episodes on pandemics and climate change are available here: You can stream on the website or via spotify, google, stitcher, or your favorite platform.

We'd love to hear from you if you listen, and especially if you incorporate the podcast into your classes or share in other venues. Connect with us at @GlobalCornell and #CornellMigrations
