The editors of History Studies invite for the submission of papers for inclusion in Volume 20 of the journal.

This year marks the centenary of the Paris Peace Conference. As we are currently in the middle of a decade of centenaries which mark the commemoration of such important events as the the outbreak and end of the First World War, the Treaty of Versailles, the end of the Habsburg Monarchy and her German, Russian and Ottoman counterparts, and the outbreaks of numerous revolutions between 1917 and 1923; we the editors of History Studies have decided that the theme for our next volume is to be ‘Moments of Revolution’.

However, submissions are not limited to being solely on events during the years 1914-1923. In particular and with regards to the history of the Italian peninsula we would also welcome submissions regarding:

  • The Revolutions of 1820, 1830 and 1848
  • The Italian states during the French Revolutionary Wars
  • The Years of Lead
  • Any moments of social or cultural change which have taken place on the Italian peninsula
