Multilingual Encounters in Captivity: Italians in POW Camps

 

This panel investigates the linguistic and cultural production by Italian soldiers captured by the Allies during WWII and scattered in POW camps in the United States, the United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and India. It welcomes studies at the intersection of literature, visual and cultural studies, music, and history of emotions.
