Nominations Open for Middle East Policy Council's 40 Under 40 Awards

Honoring emerging professionals with outstanding contributions to U.S.-Middle East relations

WASHINGTON, March 3, 2021 - Today, the Middle East Policy Council (MEPC) is pleased to announce its first-ever 40 Under 40 Awards to recognize exceptional professionals making an impact in U.S.-Middle East relations.

Nominations fall within eight categories - government, diplomacy, education, academia/think tank, non-profit, journalism, arts and culture, and business - to reflect the breadth of U.S.- Middle East relations and to provide a structure for submissions. Individuals can nominate a colleague, fellow professional, or themselves. 

Nominations may be submitted online by clicking here. The priority deadline for submitting entries is June 1, 2021.

Honorees will be notified on a rolling basis and formally recognized at the MEPC 40th Anniversary Gala in late 2021. Profiles of the honorees will be featured on MEPC's website and social media channels.

"This initiative is part of celebrating MEPC's 40th anniversary," said Executive Director Bassima Alghussein. "The MEPC has long been a platform for emerging voices from the U.S. and the region and this new 40 Under 40 initiative recognizes these rising stars and highlights their work impacting U.S. - Middle East affairs. I join the MEPC Board and leadership team in looking forward to celebrating with the honorees later this year."
