The Journal of the American Studies Association of Texas (JASAT) is now accepting book reviews for 2022. I would like to invite any interested scholar to write a review for our upcoming issue. Below is a list of links to reputable scholarly publishers. If you see any recent publication that sparks your interest, I would be happy to request it for your review. If you have a particular book in mind, I am willing to consider any book that explores a topic dealing with American history, literature, journalism, or culture. I am also accepting reviews on recent works of American fiction or poetry.

The reviews need to be 300-500 words long. Here is a link to our book review guidelines: http://www.asatex.org/book_reviews.html. Basic membership in ASAT is required to write a review. Please contact our Treasurer, Dr. Greg Giddings (greg.giddings@mwsu.edu), for membership information. The deadline for committing to a review is April 15th. We will need completed drafts by May 27th.  Graduate students and independent scholars are welcome to submit reviews. We will not accept reviews solicited by the author of the book. If you are friends with the author or have been asked to write the review by the author, please select a different book to review.
