We are soliciting papers from any discipline on topics discussing religious experience in the Americas.
Possible topics include (but are by no means limited to):
• Religion and social activism
• Religion and political life
• Religious communities
• Monasticism in the Americas
• Religion and public health
• Religion and migration
• Religion and integration
• Interfaith initiatives
• Religion and the arts
Please submit an abstract of around 300 words with a cover letter including your name, academic affiliation and the proposal’s title by January 25, 2016 as an e-mail attachment to crileybrown@mercyhurst.edu. To encourage participation from all who attend, we are asking that all communications be delivered in English. The program will allow for papers of 20 minutes, followed by a period of questions.
