I am seeking contributors who are interested in participating in a significant new project: The Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopedia of Diplomacy.  The Encyclopedia of Diplomacy will be a comprehensive 4-volume compendium of the most important events, people and terms associated with diplomacy from ancient times to the present, and global in its perspective. Arranged in A-Z order, individual entries will range from 1,000 to 7,000 words, with a total of over 500 entries in all. The Encyclopedia will be published in print and online format for use as an invaluable reference by scholars, students and general readers. The project is overseen by me in the role of Editor-in-Chief, with the assistance of a distinguished, international board of 8 Advisory Editors and a wider group of over 40 Contributing Editors.

The final date for the submission of articles is 1 June 2016.

Contributors will receive one year's free access to the online version of the Encyclopedia once it has published Wiley Online Library, plus a selection of Wiley-Blackwell books of your choosing. For Contributors commissioned to write 1001-3000 words, this selection of Wiley-Blackwell books can be to the value of $100; For Contributors commissioned to write 3001 -6000 words, a selection of Wiley-Blackwell books will be available to the value of $175; For Contributors commissioned to write 6001-9,000 words, the selection of Wiley-Blackwell books can be to the value of $250; For Contributors commissioned to write 9,001 to 15,000 words, we can offer a selection of Wiley-Blackwell books to the value of $400; For Contributors commissioned to write 15,001 to 18,000 words, the selection of Wiley Blackwell books can be to the value of $475; and for Contributors commissioned to write over 20,000 words, we would be pleased to offer Wiley-Blackwell books to the value of $500. In addition, contributors will have the right to purchase, for personal use only, additional copies of the Work at a discount of 40% from the Publisher’s then current Sterling list price (“List Price”), as well as the ability purchase, for personal use only, the Publisher's other publications, except journals, at a discount of 25% from the List Price. The Contributor may not combine the Wiley-Blackwell book allowance with his or her author discount.
