EACP 2016 Vilnius: The Inaugural Biennial Conference of European Association for Chinese Philosophy - “Thinking Across the Borders: Philosophy and China”

Scholars with interest in problems concerning Chinese philosophy and philosophy in China are invited to submit proposals for individual papers or panels, or to register as non-presenters at the Inaugural Biennial Conference of European Association for Chinese Philosophy (EACP), organized by Vilnius University Centre of Oriental Studies. The conference will be held on June 9-11, 2016. 


The Young Scholar Award is also announced. The aim of the Young Scholar Award is to encourage and help young scholars (MA, PhD candidates, and young PhD’s, who have been awarded with the degree after June 9, 2015) to join community of researchers in the field of comparative and Chinese philosophy. At the same time, the Award is set as a platform for young scholars to present and exchange their ideas and to receive a valuable feedback from the established researchers in the field.



  • Individual paper and panel proposals for the conference should be submitted by January 10, 2016
  • Student paper abstracts for Young Scholar Award should be submitted by January 10, 2016

Participants are invited to submit their proposals (individual papers and panels) in an online form. Panel proposals should contain all the abstracts of individual papers in the given panel.
