For each of these themes we have committed authors but you can propose a maximum of 2 chapters to the author or coauthor. There are 300+ entries in development, review and in production at the moment. If you wish to keep updated about the call for authors/ further development of the project please follow the project here https://www.researchgate.net/project/The-Palgrave-Handbook-of-Global-Social-Problems-Major-Reference-Work-Palgrave-Macmillan

In this call for contribution, we are particularly seeking authors for:

COVID 19 and Social Policy

COVID 19 and Social Work Practice

If you have an idea that doesn’t fit in to the above sections but contributes to the overall project, please get in touch with editor-in-chief. We welcome your ideas.

The size of each chapter that we are expecting will be circa 5000-10000 words (including the
reference list). We are inviting the chapters, that  are critical summaries/synopses (Tertiary literature)  rather than original research reports.

We are accepting contributions on a rolling basis and writing and reviewing is scheduled to take place until approximately July 2026 and final proofing between then and the end of the year. The sooner you submit your chapter the sooner it will be published online and citable. Contributions to this handbook are peer-reviewed.
