The Yiddish Book Center, located in Amherst, Massachusetts, is accepting applications for the Steiner Summer Yiddish Program 2016. This seven-week, tuition-free, intensive Yiddish language and culture course is open to undergraduate and graduate students ages 18-26, and offers beginner and intermediate tracks that include three hours of language instruction every morning and an array of Yiddish cultural programs and social activities, including film screenings, workshops, concerts, and a trip to New York. In the afternoon, beginner students take a course in Yiddish culture and history, while students in the intermediate track work on the Center’s ongoing projects in exchange for free housing and a $1,000 stipend. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to earn six college credits. This year's program runs from June 5 - July 22, 2016. Apply by February 8, 2016.
