Greetings, H-Net Members!

This notice is to bring to your attention that our organization, the Black Metropolis Research Consortium, has launched a search for the next cohort for our 2022 Summer Short-Term Fellowship Program. Our program is a one-month, Chicago-based, research fellowship that aims to provide an opportunity for scholars, artists, writers, and public historians who are committed to and currently engaged in research that brings to the forefront the African American experiences of Black Chicagoan. During their stay in Chicago, fellows will draw on the rich archival collections of our BMRC member institutions

With the intent to notify awardees in March of 2022, we invite applications starting on November 8, 2021 with a deadline of January 7, 2022.
