The Herbal History Research Network is looking for a postgraduate to join the team for a minimum of twelve months. This is a voluntary position which will give you experience of maintaining a live website and all that goes with it from creating blog pages, being involved in the committee meetings (1 hour online) once a month to updating and creating content pages. 
Skills you might bring to the team 

  • Updating and editing of existing content for example, our Resources page. 

  • Experience of working with WordPress, analytic tools (inbuilt metrics) and e-hosting regarding subscription renewals. 

  • Creative interpretation of blog copy and images provided as well as following referencing guidelines in a timely manner. 

  • Review existing content and consider most appropriate WordPress theme for design and flexibility of the site. 

  • Present a quarterly summary of visitor activity to the team. 

  • Look at creating a storage area for audio and video presentations before releasing onto seminar pages. 

  • Editing of Zoom videos to remove pre seminar chat and anything that may not be required. 

  • Setting up and organising webinar events using Zoom. 

  • Be knowledgeable about security, hosting, network optimization, databases, and other infrastructure-related factors that affect a website’s performance. 

  • Review and update outline as the role develops.
