Saturday, March 12, 2022

NOTE: If COVID-19 public safety issues require it, the 2022 Annual Meeting will be virtual (the 2021 Annual Meeting was the first-ever virtual meeting).

The Association invites historians in all fields to submit proposals for presentations and sessions for the 2022 Annual Meeting, to be hosted by Newberry College, Newberry, S.C., on Saturday, March 12, 2022. We welcome proposals on a wide array of topics in Southern, American, European, and World History. We encourage not only traditional papers, but also proposals from related areas of interest as well, such as innovative pedagogy, historical research methods, digital archives history, and public history. We welcome historians at all phases of their careers, including graduate students and independent scholars.

Papers presented at the meeting are eligible for peer reviewed publication in the Association’s journal, The Journal of the South Carolina Historical Association.

Proposals for complete sessions are encouraged, but individual proposals are also welcome. Use the SCHA Facebook page to connect with other members for panels: https://www.facebook.com/scha1931/
