Vertical Exploration: Journal of Pole and Aerial Movement Studies is an interdisciplinary online open access journal focusing on all dimensions of pole dance and aerial movement (silks, lyra, straps, etc).  Vertical Exploration welcomes well researched articles from any disciplinary perspectives that explore pole and aerial.  Areas of focus include the humanities, social sciences, health sciences, and stem disciplines.  Full articles should be 4,000-7,000 words in length.  VEJ is published twice a year.

VEJ encourages submissions from established scholars, independent scholars, and students.  

Deadline for full papers for the upcoming edition is December 31, 2015.  

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis for future volumes.
