Dear Sir/Madam,
We are writing to you on behalf of ThinkChina – University of Copenhagen’s think tank on China.
Every year, we help organize a PhD course (5 ECTS) titled "Food, Health and Philosophy in East and West" that takes place in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, China. The course uses insights about food and health in East and West to illustrate how natural science, social science and human science all contribute to the creation of new knowledge.

The course is organized under Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen and is sponsored by the Carlsberg Foundation and Arla Foods. The PhD-course is jointly organized by University of Copenhagen, University of Hong Kong and the Sun Yat-sen University.

The next course will take place from the 5 - 14 April 2018 in Hong-Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, China and we are currently accepting applications. The deadline is December 15th 2017.

You can find more information regarding the course as well as procedures for application at our website here. It should also be noted that scholarships for this course are available through our sponsors. The course description has also been attached in this mail as a PDF file.

Should the course be of interest to PhD-students at your Department or University, we hope you will help us pass on this information to the relevant people. If there are any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.

On behalf of the organizers

Best Regards
