TRANSFORM Symposium „The Art of Transformation“                                                                 
27. – 29.10.2021, Universität für angewandte Kunst, Wien
 
Von 27. – 29. Oktober sind Expert*innen aus den Bereichen Kunst und Wissenschaft, Forschung und Lehre eingeladen, um über die Zukunft der Bildung und die beruflichen Aussichten für Studierende nachzudenken. 
Die Befragung und Erforschung pädagogischer Formate, inter- und transdisziplinärer Brückenmethoden und neuer technologischer Instrumente für die Zukunft der akademischen Lehre und Forschung sind die relevanten Themen des Symposiums.

Neben dem Rektor der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, Gerald Bast, der Vizerektorin und Professorin Barbara Putz-Plecko, der Professorin für Experimental Game Cultures, Margarete Jahrmann, der Leiterin der International Programmes in Sustainable Developments, Katharina Gsöllpointner und der Professorin für Sprachkunst, Monika Rinck, nehmen der Vizerektor für Innovation und Forscher*innen der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz (JKU), Christopher Lindinger, Professor am Institut für Experimentalphysik, Martin Kaltenbrunner (JKU), Professor am Institut für Soziologie, Uli Meyer (JKU), der Leiter am Department für Weiterbildungsforschung und Bildungstechnologien der Donau-Universität Krems, Stefan Oppl, der Leiter der Abteilung für Materialchemie der Universität Wien, Alexander Bismarck, Co-​Director des USYS TdLab an der ETH Zürich, Christian Pohl und viele weitere Lehrende und Forschende der drei kollaborierenden Institutionen teil. Impulse, Reflexionen und Kritik werden u.a. von Katja Schechtner vom MIT Senseable City Lab, Katharina Rogenhofer, Initiatorin des Klimaschutzvolksbegehrens, Jan Boelen, künstlerischer Leiter des experimentellen Materialforschungszentrums Atelier LUMA in Arles/Frankreich und Matthew Pelowski vom Institut für Psychologie der Kognition, Emotion und Methoden der Universität Wien eingebracht.

Das Symposium findet vor Ort (Auditorium & Flux II) an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien statt und kann auch online via Stream besucht werden.

From October 27 - 29, experts from the fields of art and science, research and teaching are invited to reflect on the future of education and career prospects for students. 
Questioning and exploring pedagogical formats, inter- and transdisciplinary bridging methods and new technological tools for the future of academic teaching and research are the topics of the symposium.

In addition to the Rector of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Gerald Bast, Vice-Rector and Professor Barbara Putz-Plecko, the Professor of Experimental Game Cultures, Margarete Jahrmann, the Head of International Programs in Sustainable Developments, Katharina Gsöllpointner and the Professor of Language Arts, Monika Rinck, the Vice Rector for Innovation and Researchers* of the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), Christopher Lindinger, Professor at the Institute of Experimental Physics, Martin Kaltenbrunner (JKU), Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Uli Meyer (JKU), the Head of the Department of Continuing Education Research and Educational Technologies at Danube University Krems, Stefan Oppl, the Head of the Department of Materials Chemistry at the University of Vienna, Alexander Bismarck, the Co-​Director of USYS TdLab at ETH Zurich, Christian Pohl, and many other teachers and researchers from the three collaborating institutions. Impulses, reflections and critique will be provided by, among others, Katja Schechtner, MIT Senseable City Lab, Katharina Rogenhofer, initiator of the climate protection referendum, Jan Boelen, artistic director of the experimental materials research center Atelier LUMA in Arles/France, and Matthew Pelowski, Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology at University of Vienna.

The symposium will take place on site (Auditorium & Flux II) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and can also be attended online via stream.
