We are re-opening submissions to our Covid-postponed seminar on the Indian New Wave for ACLA 2022. The conference is scheduled to be in-person in Taipei, Taiwan, June 15-18, 2022. We are hoping that travel will be less restricted by next summer.

Please consider applying and circulating the call for papers. Here's the link to the seminar description:

To submit a paper for our seminar, please go to and choose "New Perspectives on the Indian New Wave: Fifty Years On" from the drop-down menu that comes up when you click on "Select a Value" in the box titled "Seminar."

Deadline for paper proposal submission: Sunday, Oct 31, 2021.
Paper proposals must be no longer than 1500 characters, including spaces (approximately 300 words). It does not ask for a bibliography.
You do not need to be a member of the ACLA to submit your abstract. If the seminar is accepted then all presenters will need to be members.

Do let us know if you have any questions as you consider submitting a paper for the seminar or run into any issues with the ACLA portal.
