RAW: Research, Art & Writing Graduate Student Conference
Reality, Reflection, and Retrospection: Perceptions on Time, Space, and Subjectivity

Saturday, February 12, 2022

The Arts & Humanities Association of Graduate Students (AGS) of UTD is now inviting proposals for the thirteenth annual RAW conference. The conference is organized by and for graduate student scholars to engage in scholarly and creative conversations with peers across the various fields of the humanities. Our 2022 conference will be facilitated in a hybrid format: in-person presentations will be hosted in Richardson, Texas; remote presentations will be hosted online.

This year, we invite scholarly papers and creative projects that address how we engage/disengage with reality, see ourselves and the world around us, and look to the past to understand our present and/or future. We hope the wide scope of our theme this year will allow the incorporation of submissions from across the humanities disciplines.

Presenters at the RAW 2022 conference will be eligible to submit their paper or creative work for the following awards:

  • 11th Annual Sherry Clarkson Prize for best scholarly paper
  • The Inaugural Arts & Humanities Council Award for best creative, performed, multimedia, or other non-traditional project
  • The Inaugural RAW Committee Award for Outstanding Presentation
