The Monticello College Foundation Fellowship for Women is designed for a postdoctoral woman at an early stage (pre-tenure) of her academic career, whose work gives clear promise of scholarly productivity and who would benefit significantly from research, writing, and participation in the intellectual life of the Newberry. The applicant’s topic must be related to the Newberry’s collection. Preference will be given to proposals particularly concerned with the study of women. Applicants must request at least four and no more than six months of support with a stipend of $4,200 per month.

The long-term fellowship deadline for the 2016-17 application cycle is November 15, 2015.
