The organizing committee is excited to release the program, website, and registration for the 2021 First Forum Graduate Student Conference. This year's theme is Post(ing) and we put together a great program of panels and speakers that touch upon a variety of themes, media forms, and methodologies. In order to avoid burnout and protect the health and well-being of the USC community, First Forum 2021 is completely virtual and its program has been spread out over 4 evenings on Oct 21, 22, 28, and 29. Check out our conference website for more details.

Our keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Bo Ruberg from Film and Media Studies at the University of California, Irvine. It will take place on Thursday, October 21 at 5pm Pacific. Please note that this keynote has a separate registration on Zoom, which you can register for here:

There will also be a faculty roundtable discussion between Dr. Ayesha Omer (Postdoctoral Fellow at Univ of Pennsylvania), Dr. Camilla Fojas (School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University), and Dr. Erin Y. Huang (East Asian Studies & Comp Lit at Princeton). This conversation will be moderated by PhD Candidate Patricia Ciccone and will be held on Friday, October 22 at 5:30pm Pacific.
