Call for Abstracts
(to lead to articles to be published in a special issue of Canadian Public Policy/Analyse de politiques)

Canadian Public Policy/Analyse de politiques seeks abstracts for papers for one and possibly two special issues to be sponsored by the Global Risk Institute. The topic is “Retirement, Longevity, Pensions, and Long-Term Care” and would include such themes as the retirement income system, labour market, savings and financial decisions of the older population, preparation for and transition to retirement, long-term care, and health and longevity.

Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in length and should include the research question, methods, data sources, and preliminary findings, if available, as well as author contact information. A draft paper may be included but is not a substitute for the abstract.

The submission deadline is October 1, 2021. The authors of selected abstracts will be asked to present webinars on their topics in January and February 2022. It is expected that complete papers will be submitted for peer review no later than April 1, 2022 and the special issues will be published in Fall 2022.

Canadian Public Policy/Analyse de politiques and the Global Risk Institute thank Professors Pierre-Carl Michaud of HEC Montréal, Kevin Milligan of the University of British Columbia, and Tammy Schirle of Wilfrid Laurier University for agreeing to be Guest Editors of these issues. Questions should be sent to the Editor of Canadian Public Policy/Analyse de politiques, Mike Veall of McMaster University, veall@mcmaster.ca. Submissions should be sent to cpp.adp.olderpop@gmail.com.
