Southern Historian (Graduate Student Journal) 2022 CFP

Type: Call for Papers

Date: September 1, 2021 to December 15, 2021

The Southern Historian is seeking original scholarly work by graduate students focusing on the history and culture of the American South for its 2022 issue. For manuscript submissions, we are particularly interested in, but not limited to, articles detailing medical topics such as war and medicine, the history of epidemics/pandemics, diseases and disease control, vaccinations and treatments, and government healthcare policy (local, state, regional) throughout the American South from the antebellum era to present day. The deadline for article manuscript submissions for the 2022 issue is December 15, 2021; early submissions, are however, strongly encouraged. We are also seeking book reviewers and copy editors as well as submissions in a number of other categories, including historiographical essays.

For more information, including our guidelines for submission, please visit our website at http://southernhistorian.ua.edu/. If you have questions or are interested in submitting your work to us, let us know at southernhistorian.ua@gmail.com.
