British Art Network Seminar Series from CCA Derry~Londonderry

The British Art Network and CCA Derry~Londonderry invite you to join artists, architects, curators and researchers for a series of conversation-based sessions exploring modernism in NI and global contexts. The Irish Modernisms exhibition and seminar series have been curated by Catherine Hemelryk (CCA Derry~Londonderry) and Matthew Retallick (Manchester School of Art). Join us for sessions 3–5 where the programme's geographical reach will expand to explore Modernisms in global contexts. 

Session 3 | Latin American Modernisms

Session 4 | Post Soviet Baltic Modernisms

Speakers: Andres Kurg and Mari Laanemets, Senior Researchers, Institute of Art History, Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn

Session 5 | East African Modernisms
Wednesday 1 September 2021, 13:00–14:30
Speakers: Prof. Edward Denison, Professor of Architecture and the Other, Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and Dawit L. Petros, Eritrea-born visual artist, based in Chicago and Montreal.
