The Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) will hold its Eighth Annual Conference titled, “For Better or Worse? Historical Trends in the Middle East and Africa,” October 29 - October 31, 2015 at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The ASMEA Annual Conference offers the widest possible range of subjects dealing with the Middle East and Africa including economics, history, law, literature, politics, and religion, among others, spanning a time frame ranging from the medieval to the modern period.
