SOHA Summer Series 2021
Join us for the Southwest Oral History Association's 5-day virtual retreat with expert faculty mentors, network opportunities, and self-guided research. Throughout the boot camp, you will set goals, complete reading, and actively work toward your own oral history goal.
A Typical Day Includes:
Morning Zoom session taught by expert historians (10-Noon Pacific Time)
Guided research/practice (self-timed)
Afternoon feedback (Your choice of 30-45 min. virtual gathering or asynchronous chat)
Supplemental reading (self-timed)
The final evening will feature your work! Share what you've accomplished in only one short week!

Who can apply?
Scholars of all ages and levels are invited, regardless of expertise with oral history. Because of the intensive nature of our program, the boot camp is limited to 25 participants who will be selected based on this application.
Registration and cost:
Cost of registration is $100, which includes 1 year of membership to SOHA, all materials and lessons as part of the 5-day boot camp, intensive training, connections to regional and national experts, and opportunities to work with other oral historians. The cost also covers direct guidance and mentorship while you conduct focused self-guided research. Graduates of the camp will also be invited to present at the Southwest Oral History Association's annual conference in 2022.
