The LLILAS Benson Brazil Center presents the award-winning documentary Beyond Fordlândia, an environmental account of Henry Ford's adventure in the Amazon, written, directed, and produced by Marcos Colón.

Join Professor Seth Garfield, director of the LLILAS Benson Brazil Center, for a live Q&A with filmmaker Marcos Colón on Thursday, April 22, at 5 p.m. CDT. 

According to Colón, "the film highlights the environmental impact engendered by Henry Ford's attempts to establish rubber plantations near the Tapajós River in Brazil and the local communities' current-day efforts to transition the land to successful cultivation of soybeans."
