A Critical History of Ideas: Modernism

Deadline for submissions:

May 13, 2021

Critical essays are invited for an edited volume with ISBN (to be published by a reputed publisher) tentatively titled A Critical History of Ideas: Modernism.

The book would comprise critical essays (each of around 3000-5000 words) on various aspects of modernism and facilitate the readers (primarily undergraduate and postgraduate students of English literature) in understanding the dominant literary trends and seminal British texts of the early twentieth century. The essays should be critically engaging replete with textual examples covering canonical as well as noncanonical British writings of the period (1890s-1930s). The aim of the volume is to highlight the interesting connections between modernist literary texts and the socio-economico-intellectual-aesthetic climate of the early twentieth century that students often ignore.
