Central Texas Studies: Journal of the Central Texas Historical Association is a scholarly, double-blind reviewed academic publication devoted to the history and culture of the greater Central Texas region. Headquartered at Blinn College—Bryan Campus, Central Texas Studies is actively seeking scholarship on all aspects of Texas history, especially articles focusing on the greater Central Texas region. The first annual journal is scheduled to be published in December 2016. The submission deadline is January 15, 2016.
We invite all interested scholars to visit our website at www.centexhistassn.org. The website includes submission guidelines and other information about the journal and its parent organization, the Central Texas Historical Association.
As a newly created learned society, the Central Texas Historical Association is also interested in expanding its cohort of manuscript and book reviewers, especially those with expertise in the history of ethnic groups, women, religion, agriculture, economics, pop culture, sports, as well as military and intellectual history and other topics related to Texas studies.
Inquiries, manuscript submissions, and other correspondence should be directed to the Managing Editor of Central Texas Studies, Dr. Kirk Bane (kbane@blinn.edu) or Executive Director, Dr. Kenneth Howell (khowell@blinn.edu).
CTHA would greatly appreciate your efforts in spreading the word about Central Texas Studies and our association.
