The Canadian Journal of History/Annales canadiennes d’histoire (CJH/ACH), a peer-reviewed journal of general history publishing in both English and French, invites submissions of research articles, review essays, and thematic issue proposals in any area of history.

Founded in 1966, the CJH/ACH is geared to all professional historians, as well as to anyone interested in historical scholarship, and publishes three issues annually in digital format. Our winter issue regularly features a guest editor and focuses on a specific theme or topic of their choosing, and we award our annual Linda F. Dietz Graduate Essay Prize of $500 for the best article submitted by a graduate student registered at a Canadian university, or by a Canadian graduate student registered at any university in the world. Research published in CJH/ACH reaches an academic and general audience all over the globe. Because we publish work on all areas and time periods, we encourage submissions that avoid jargon and that have the potential to appeal to a wide range of readers, not just specialists in a given field.
