Abstract: The speaker will present insights to help participants create a set-up at home to deliver high-quality, safe, and stress-free remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI).

1. Three ways to provide RSI, dedicated facilities in Tokyo, and six major RSI platforms
     • Comparison of function and price
     • Brief demo of Zoom's language interpretation feature and the RSI platform (interpreteX) operation console from Japan
2. Recommended equipment (computer, microphone, mixer, gadgets) and Internet environment
3. Recommended interpreting approaches (handover, partner chat), compression, echo-cancellation, and preparation
4. Common issues and troubleshooting your way through them
5. A new approach to high-quality remote communication; deliver realistic interpretation voice track using loopback!
Speaker profile:
Tsuyoshi Kimoto is a top-caliber, professional conference interpreter with a wealth of experience and unique skill set for facilitating Japanese-English communication empowered by his bicultural upbringing and diverse business background. 
Since embarking on a career as a freelance interpreter in 2010, he has interpreted for global luminaries including Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Apple CEO Tim Cook, JP Morgan Chase President Jamie Dimon, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, former White House Chief of Staff Rahn Emanuel, actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, film director Martin Scorsese, shogi professional Yoshiharu Habu, and Nobel laureates in Economics, Robert C. Merton and Myron Scholes, among others.
Tsuyoshi spent his formative years in the New England area of the United States where international education and innate curiosity put him on the path to serving as a bridge between two cultures. Studies at Lawrenceville School, Rhode Island School of Design, and American Film Institute led him to a career in filmmaking where he worked as the cinematographer on many award-winning films.  

After 18 years in the U.S., he returned to Japan and spent eight years working at a Japanese trading company before discovering his passion for interpreting in the capacity of the personal interpreter of UNIQLO founder and renowned entrepreneur Tadashi Yanai.
