The Department of Arts and Communication at the University of Houston-Downtown invites applications for tenure-track positions that start in Fall 2021. Disciplines include Interpersonal Communication, Drama, and Design/Technical Direction.  The positions will be of particular interest to those whose research and teaching intersects Critical Race Studies or Latino/Latina Studies. Candidates must possess a terminal degree from an accredited institution in the appropriate academic field pursuant to the position. ABD’s will be considered for a one-year terminal appointment. A successful ABD candidate must complete degree requirements by February 1, 2022 in order to be placed on the tenure track. Candidates must be able to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Candidates should have an established research agenda in their specialty area.
