Dear H-Net Community,

We are excited to invite you to participate in the 8th International Degrowth Conference “Caring Communities for Radical Change” that will take place in the Hague between 24-28 August 2021. It aims to connect activists, artists, academics, practitioners, students, and general public to create an open platform for discussing ideas and practices which can ensure wellbeing for all within the Earth’s limits.

If one word could describe 2020, that word could be ‘change’. Nothing has been the same for most people globally since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It confronted us with our vulnerabilities and interdependencies, but also with our potential for transformation through care: transformation of ourselves, our relationships, and our economies. That is why our conference is centered around caring communities and positive impacts they generate.

You will find more information about the conference in our open call for participation. We warmly invite you to share it within your network and join us next August!

For more information do not hesitate to contact us.
