CALL FOR PAPERS
ANNUAL MEETING OF THE
SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE ON ASIAN STUDIES
Tarleton State University
Fort Worth (Texas) Campus and Online
Oct. 22-23, 2021
Panel proposals should include the following: (1) A panel summary
(250 words max.) that includes a brief description of each paper
and makes clear the connection between the papers; (2) A list of
participants, their paper titles, their affiliations and their contact
information, including email addresses; (3) indicate mode of
attendance. All participants must attend the same way.
Individual paper proposals should include the following: (1) Paper
title and summary (150 words max.); (2) Presenter's name,
affiliation, and contact information, including email addresses; (3)
indicate in-person or online attendance. There is an award for best
graduate student paper.
This year's theme is: "SWCAS at 50: Asia Through the Years." We are
especially interested in topics that cover aspects of Asia during the
past 50 years as we celebrate the SWCAS 50th anniversary, but
proposals on any topic related to Asian studies are welcome.
