The Italian Society for Middle Eastern Studies (SeSaMO) organizes an on-line workshop open to all PhD students based in Italian universities and working on research projects dealing with Middle East and North Africa countries, nearby areas inhabited by Muslim populations or regions characterized by immigrants coming from those countries across all the human and social sciences. Applications by Italian PhD students working abroad and foreign doctoral candidates enrolled in double- degree programmes between foreign and Italian Universities are also encouraged. The 2-day workshop, organized and virtually hosted by the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Bologna University, will take place on the 20th and 21st of April 2021.  Proposals in Italian, French or English (applicant’s CV and 600 word-abstract of research projects) must be sent to  by the 20th of  December 2020.
