The American Institute of the History of Pharmacy is pleased to announce important changes to its journal for 2021 (vol. 63). The journal's title will change to History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals (HoPP) from Pharmacy in History, and AIHP will partner with the University of Wisconsin Press to publish the journal. Read here for more information about these developments.

In preparation for these changes, AIHP seeks to expand its pool of reviewers for History of Pharmacy and Pharmceuticals. We invite reviewers from all stages of their careers to write reviews for HoPP.

History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals reviews books (and other media) about the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, broadly defined, including (but not limited to) the history of: pharmacy practice, pharmacy science, pharmacy education, drug regulation, social and cultural aspects of drugs and medicines, the pharmaceutical industry—including the history of pharmaceuticals, drugs, and therapeutics—and facets of the related medical sciences.

All interested reviewers should complete the History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceticals Books Review Form (Google Forms) to indicate their areas of interest and/or to recommend specific recent titles they would like to review.

Prospective reviewers can also consult the list of books recieved for review on the HoPP website for immediately available titles.

Read the HoPP Review guidelines.
