NEOS Fall 2020 Issue: "Health & Well-Being in Uncertain Times: Centering Children & Youth"
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Fall 2020 Issue (Volume 12, Issue 2) of NEOS is here! Please join us in opening this timely issue titled “Health & Well-Being in Uncertain Times: Centering Children & Youth.” We are grateful to all authors, NEOS editorial team members, and reviewers who—in a shared commitment to amplifying the voices and experiences of children & youth during the COVID-19 pandemic—worked tirelessly to make this issue possible! https://bit.ly/NEOSFall2020
Spanning experiences in seven different countries, scholarship in this issue explores four core dimensions of health & well-being as they relate to the current pandemic: 1) The “Every Day” Of Health & Well-Being: Disruptions and Fissures, 2) Influencing Policy & Practice: Advancing Well-Being through Applied Research, 3) (Re)conceptualizing Risk and Harm: Beyond a Focus on Physical Disease, and 4) Complexifying the Ill-Being/Well-Being Dichotomy: (Re)Centering Child Perspectives.
NEOS is the flagship publication of the Anthropology of Children and Youth Interest Group (ACYIG) of the American Anthropological Association (AAA). All articles within this bi-annual, referred publication are open access. Please disseminate widely. Thank you!
All the best,
