Aspasia: The International Yearbook of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern European Women's and Gender History seeks articles and other contributions that explore the history of women and gender in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe (CESEE). We welcome submissions on any topic and any time period in the field of women's and gender history in CESEE.  We especially encourage submissions from scholars in CESEE.

We are currently soliciting submissions focused on the topic of "Queer Histories of Women in CESEE" that address the histories of queer femininities and/or queer women. Contributions of research articles and/or discussions of primary sources focused on any time period or geographic area within the CESEE are welcome.

Aspasia is always interested in research that examines the myriad ways in which gender intersects with other categories of social  organization  and advances work that explores the transnational aspects of women's and gender histories within, to, and from CESEE. Submissions on any topic relating to women’s and gender history in CESEE are welcome at any time and will always receive full consideration.

DEADLINE EXTENDED:
We encourage submissions on the theme of "Queer Histories of Women in CESEE" by 1 March 2021.
