The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland invites submissions to its journal for consideration for the biennial Chalmers-Jervise Prize. A cash prize of £500 is awarded for a paper published in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland (PSAS) on a topic relating to history or archaeology of Scotland before AD 1100.
Guidelines: Submission for the prize is made to the Managing Editor at email@example.com as a paper for publication in PSAS. Following successful peer review, the paper will be judged by an independent panel of specialists in the field for the prize. All submissions are considered for publication in the journal whether or not they are winners.
Please indicate clearly in your email that your submission is intended for the Chalmers-Jervise Prize.
Eligibility: Graduate students, early career researchers, academics, independent researchers, both Fellows and non-Fellows of the Society are welcome to participate.
About: PSAS is a peer-reviewed academic journal published annually by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland since 1851. The full archive can be accessed at http://journals.socantscot.org/index.php/psas
