The Australasian Journal of American Studies (AJAS), the official journal of the Australian and New Zealand American Studies Association, welcomes the submission of articles relating to all aspects of American culture, society, history, film, and politics from established scholars as well as graduate students. 

 

Manuscripts following the conventions listed on https://anzasa.org/ajas/ can be  submitted electronically to ajas.anzasa@gmail.com

 

AJAS awards a number of prizes for submissions: The Peter Coleman Prize ($250 Aust) for the best article by a postgraduate student published in the journal over a two year period. And the James Holt Award ($500 Aust) for the best article published over the same timeframe.

 

Articles published in AJAS are peer reviewed. They are indexed in Historical Abstracts and America: History and Life. The journal is part of JSTOR and EBSCO.
