History Instructor, World or Global History

WORLD/GLOBAL HISTORY.  The Department of History at the University of Memphis invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor in World or Global History to start August 2020. Ph.D. in History required by the time of appointment. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in non-US and pre-1800 fields.

This one-year position carries a 4-4 course load and may be renewed for two additional years. Candidates should be prepared to teach the World History survey sequence and a range of thematic upper-division undergraduate courses that address multiple geographic areas. Courses will be offered both in-class and online. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working successfully with a diverse student body.
