International Conference on Gender, Language and Education (ICGLE)
2 – 4 December 2020
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Deadline: 30 April 2020 (Thursday)
Dear colleagues,
We are writing to invite your proposal submissions for the International Conference on Gender, Language and Education (ICGLE). ICGLE seeks to bring together academics, researchers, community leaders, policymakers, education practitioners and research postgraduate students from the worldwide community to explore equality and diversity issues in language and education through a gendered lens. Since gender inequalities have been the focus of heated debate around the world, the ICGLE aims to call for collaborative action to address systemic (gender) inequalities, particularly in the Asian context.
We have invited two key figures in the field to be the conference keynote speakers. They are:
- Dr Jane Sunderland, Lancaster University, United Kingdom
- Professor Theresa Der-lan Yeh, National Taiwan University, Taiwan
Date: 2 – 4 December 2020
Venue: The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Conference theme: Gender, Language and Education: Equality and Diversity Issues in Asia
Types of submissions: Paper/Poster presentations and themed panels. Please submit your proposals to EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icgle2020) by 30 April 2020. For themed panels, abstract submissions should be sent directly to the Conference Secretariat (icgle2020@eduhk.hk) using the application form downloaded from the ICGLE website.
For more details, please refer to ICGLE website. For enquiries, please write to us by email at icgle2020@eduhk.hk.
