Art, Art History & Visual Studies
Due to the public health crisis currently affecting the entire globe and the consequent uncertainties, the Institut national d’histoire de l’art and the château de Fontainebleau, in consultation with the Ministry of Culture, have made the decision to postpone the Festival of Art History until next summer. Initially scheduled for June 2020, this major annual gathering of professionals and the general public will now take place on June 4-6, 2021. As planned, the invited guest country of the festival’s tenth edition will be Japan and the theme will be pleasure. Thanks to the support of all partners and patrons who are committed to building the Festival of Art History’s reputation both nationally and internationally, the organizers remain fully prepared to ensure a successful next edition and to respond to the anticipation already expressed by the public.
