Dear H-Net Subscribers,
For over a week now, the H-Net Home Office has been running remotely for all services other than the H-Net Reviews program. Until today we have managed to process and mail our book inventory with a small, voluntary, rotating staff of three. We took the utmost precautions providing them with sanitized working spaces, latex gloves and loads of Purell.
Today Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19), a "Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life." As such, we will be suspending new H-Net Reviews book management services until Monday, April 13. This only applies to ingesting new titles into our inventory and mailing out books to reviewers. All reviews currently in production will continue receive support from our copy editors and staff. We hope to get back to providing our full range of services soon.
Until then, stay safe and stay home.
All the best,
Dr. Jesse Draper
Interim Executive Director
