A conference in commemoration of the life and work of Roger Schofield, who sadly died in April 2019, will be held jointly by the Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure and the Local Population Studies Society - with additional funding from the British Society for Population Studies, the Economic History Society and the Social History Society - on Saturday April 4th, 2020 at the Geography Department, University of Cambridge.
Papers will be presented by Richard Smith, DeLloyd Guth, David Levine, David Cressy, Samantha Williams, Rosemary Leadbeater, Simon Szreter and Jim Oeppen who each had a connection with Roger and will discuss aspects of his life, work and legacy.
