The successful applicant’s research will help inform future historical programming at the Foundation as well as contribute to the historiography in their field.

In addition to Colonial Williamsburg’s John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library, fellows have access to other Colonial Williamsburg resources – including object collections, archaeology and architectural artifact holdings, and a world class staff of knowledgeable professionals.

Colonial Williamsburg is also conveniently located to institutions with vast primary -source holdings, including William & Mary Libraries, The Library of Virginia, and The Virginia Museum of History and Culture among others.

Fellowships carry a stipend of $2,500 per month and are available to researchers with strong qualifications and research proposals. Applications are due March 31st, 2020 and decisions will be announced shortly there after.
