Mercy College 4th Annual History Undergraduate Research Conference

“Voice”

Saturday, 4 April 2020,

The School of Liberal Arts, the Department of Humanities, and the History Program at Mercy College are pleased to announce the 4thAnnual History Undergraduate Research Conference to take place on Saturday, 4 April 2020 at our newly renovated Manhattan Campus. This conference is open to all undergraduates from any institution of higher education.

This year’s conference theme is “Voice.” We invite papers that explore this theme, broadly-defined, from any geographic, temporal, or thematic field in history. We look forward to making this conference a venue for a variety of scholarly responses and a lively exchange of ideas. Presentations should be no more than 20 minutes in length. A $200 prize will be offered for the best paper presented at the conference. Papers will be read and judged prior to the conference date by a panel of external reviewers.

Undergraduate students who are interested in presenting are asked to submit a 250-word abstract by Monday, 2 March 2020. Notification of acceptance will occur on a rolling basis. All accepted applicants will have until Monday, 23 March 2020 to submit completed papers (not to exceed ten pages).

A light breakfast and lunch will be served for conference participants and attendees.

Please send all abstracts to Dr. Soonyi Lee at slee42@mercy.edu
