Safeguarding, comprising any measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of children, young people and vulnerable adults, is the focus of increasing attention among policy makers, researchers and the public.

This conference aims to bring together representatives from government, NGOs, practitioners and researchers to collaborate, innovate, and celebrate emerging knowledge and practice relating to all aspects of Safeguarding children and individuals ‘at risk’. Gathering together at an international conference such as this presents us with many opportunities to deepen understanding, build new knowledge, and contribute to policies and practices that respond to our most pressing safeguarding concerns.

Keeping up to date with the evolving threats to children, young people and adults “at risk” is vital for the successful delivery of services and the continued support of communities – making this conference a must-attend event! The conference provides a platform for safeguarding professionals and researchers to explore the changing landscape of safeguarding policy and practice in the context recent safeguarding reforms. The Conference is open to the public, voluntary and private sectors as well as to the wider international development community.

Join your peers from academia, health and social care, local and central government, housing, and the charity and community sectors at Safeguarding 2020.

The conference runs over two days and the beautiful city of Neuchatel provides many opportunities to relax, unwind and enjoy the superb facilities including numerous outdoor pursuits.
