On Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Christine Pittsley will speak on Connecticut's contribution to the World War One Centenary and the award winning projects Connecticut led during the Centenary.  Ms. Pittsley will talk on what was happening on the home front of Connecticut and the battlefields of France, the stories of men and women who served, and the family members who honored their service one hundred years later. 

Christine Pittsley has been the Project Director for the Connecticut State Library's World War One Programs for the past six years. She served as the Chair for the Connecticut World War One Centennial Committee as well as serving as Connecticut's liaison to the United States World War One Centennial Commission. She has worked at the Connecticut State Library for eleven years and leads the archival and museum digitization and metadata programs. 

The program is part of the Hagaman Library's Military and Veterans History Group and will be held at the Hagaman Memorial Library at 227 Main Street, East Haven, Connecticut. The program is free and open to the public.
