Open Art Histories: A One-Day Critical Pedagogy Workshop

Friday January 31, 2020, 9:30-4:00pm

Langara College, Vancouver, C408 Boardroom

Join us for a full day of presentations, roundtable discussion, and a keynote presentation focused on art history and pedagogy.
This is an opportunity to network with fellow instructors in art, art history, history, visual and museum studies, to share research on teaching and learning topics and tackle some of pressing pedagogical concerns.

Keynote Speaker: Leah Clark, Senior Lecturer, Open University, and Project Lead on Open Arts Objects, an innovative project that provides free open access films and teaching support materials geared to the new A-level in Art History.

Co-organized by Alena Buis (Langara College) and Devon Smither (University of Lethbridge). This event is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

This is a free event and lunch will be provided.
