2020 Graduate History Conference - Raleigh, NC

The NC State History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) invites graduate student submissions for our 2020 Graduate Student History Conference to be held on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

The conference provides a welcoming environment for scholarly interaction and professional development for new or experienced scholars and is open to all graduate students in history and related fields. Each presentation will last approximately 15-20 minutes, and each panel will be followed by comments from area faculty as well as general discussion.

Submission Information

We welcome individual paper and panel submissions in history, public history, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary fields.

Proposals of no more than 250 words should be sent together with a CV including the applicant’s name, institution, and a sentence listing up to three historical subjects your paper addresses (e.g. American history, intellectual history, gender). Panel submissions should include three paper proposals and a short description of the unifying theme in addition to the CVs and institution name of each applicant.

Deadlines:

 - Deadline for submission: December 2, 2019.

 - Notification of acceptance: December 30, 2019

 - Deadline for final paper submission: February 17, 2020
